Chu15 - Part V - Umami Steamboat

The last part of ending CNY for the year 2012, we had steamboat for dinner. Nigel been craving for steamboat, so I brought him to this famous Umami Steamboat at Sunway Mentari. Recommended mostly by food bloggers, which i think is good place to eat.. Hear of this steamboat packed with people especially during weekend, so if you want good sitting place, be sure you're early in between 6.30pm -7.00pm.

Main entrance

We reached there almost 7.30pm, place was full with people. Got to wait for almost 30 min to be seated. Nigel was busy looking around, and he told me the smell of BBQ made him hungry lolz. Umami Steamboat is a steamboat buffer that served "all you can eat" with the price of  RM26.80+ per head [adult] that is worth for what you're paying for it. The environment was comfortable, which you can aspect it's a higher class than the normal ordinary steamboat restaurants around this area.

Free flow drinks

First time visited this place, it was about 2 year ago. That time the price was RM23.90++ excluded drinks, more details read here. But after I re-visited here again they changed price to RM26.80++ INCLUDED with free flow drinks. Now they set up machine for few choices of drinks.

We had some grilled BBQ seafood and satay. We ate moderately, and tried varieties of food there. Reminder: Don't be greedy, otherwise wasted food will be charge accordingly. After 3/4 full, we had fruits such as apple, watermelons and pears. Lastly not forgetting our desserts that is yummy ice-creams. 2 scoops of ice-cream each, that make our meal completed for the night. Ice-creams by WALLS such as chocolate, mints, corns, yam, strawberries, etc.

Desserts

 Yam & Mint Ice-cream

Yam & Vanilla Ice-cream

Overall, I find it quite okay on pricing and quality. If you plan to have a great steamboat range, Umami can be one of the choice in my list as I have tried others, which is much worst that I don't bother even to blog about it. Aside also, this steamboat house is pork free too. Recommended this place for steamboat. Cheers~ =)
