Introduced by a friend to this restaurant which only serve fish noodles. What? Fish noodles? Noodles with a fish or else? Restaurant Fish Castle serve a variety of exciting menu using 100% pure fresh meats as the main ingredient in Chinese cuisine, nested in Uptown Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya and has been operating since three years ago.

Chinese cuisine no longer a stranger to Muslims as they're more and more restaurant offering Halal meals daily at affordable price of the heart of Malaysian people. Muhd Haikal Tang, the founder of Fish Castle admitted that food that serve in the restaurant are fresh fishes from Terengganu and Indonesia. Fish Knife was chosen as the main ingredients, for the contents because it is sweet and delicious. In addition, it also uses the original cuisine based on the 60's Teow Chew fish balls concept. It can be said of all the menu are serve with fish balls that tasted fresh and delicious.

In addition, Muhd Haikal Tang also emphasize healthy food to visitors because he did not use food flavors (MSG) and free from boric acid. All kinds of food here are certified HALAL, suitable for everyone. The menu at the restaurant is rather attractive, three types of noodles dishes received encouraging response from vistors, Noodles Celery, Homemade Fish Noodles and Noodles are served with Home Land of soup or Fried basis.

The Menu

I tasted hand made noodles, serve with fish minced meat, fish paste and fish cakes. I understand the noodles is also hand made basis, which I rather think it's something different compare to other shop. Fresh fish meats without any fishy odor at the price of RM7.50 per bowl.

Another one would be Home Land Noodles would RM5.50 per bowl, with the basic fish ingredients, fried garlic, seasonings and aromatic oils. Recommended to eat pickled green chilies, delicious and mouth watering. I love the fried fish paste dumpling RM6.00, crunchy and tasty to go with the noodles.

Hand Made Fish Noodle [RM7.50]

It's not a complete meal, with a refreshing drink. Fish Castle, do offer varieties of drinks and desserts. You can choose to try on the traditional drink which double boil cooling winter melon and longan. This drink is a mixture of gourd fruit, flower bowl, watermelon, Longan and Chinese as the primary ingredients. In addition, Fu Chuk Dessert Gingko Barley is also good to try to finish eating session.

Beside this, Fish Castle also provides additional dishes such as tomato rice, mee rebus and nasi lemak for those who prefers a traditional Malay cuisine. Friendly services and comfortable area for dining, definitely it's good re-visit back again.

Wasabi & Gari

Got my seats as soon as we walk in, loaded with people but it's not crowded, nice ambiance for dining. I hear SHASHIMI is cheap over here, so my dinner tonight all ended up with Salmon slices. I love to eat here, because their sushi wrapped in a unique way, with different style and generous toppings, and it's cheap here. The usual part, sushi without Wasabi is like missing a pair of legs. Aside for appetizer, Gari [ Pink Japenese Ginger] only served here so far.

Here you go the very FRESH SHASHIMI, 5 thin slices only RM6.00, worth for the value here and it's fresh just eat raw like that. I had couple of salmon sushi here, please refer picture for more details.

myBurgerLab @ SeaPark, PJ

I came across this restaurant from a friend of mine, who actually half way surfing facebook, he saw this newly opening myBurgerLab during a couple months ago. Suspicious with this restaurant but from it own name myBurgerLab basically is fast food restaurant.

Who are they? Three guys on a simple mission: "A simple decent juicy burger. It is just that simple" myBurgerLab is newly open in Sea Park, Petaling Jaya which actually very near to Nasi Lemak Maybank there.

Main Entrance

As I entered the restaurant, I can smell food from the main door, nevertheless, the food makes my stomach beating drums. Burgers only available in this shop, not just a normal burger but ordinary home made breads with bamboo charcoal and original white fluffy breads. Have you see before bamboo charcoal breads?

This is my first time here to experience bamboo charcoal breads. Ideally it's easy for the ordering process. Just like fast food chain outlets, you need to queue up to buy the burgers, get your seats, waited patiently for them to serve you.

myBurgerLab Menu

Shop full and crowded with peoples especially youngsters like students enjoying dining here. Varieties sets of burgers available for your selections with different prices. The burger itself it's more than enough for you, but recommended you to take set, all you need to do just add additional RM5 to enjoy a bottomless drink and fun fries. Additional add-on available on side dishes which written clearly on the menu board.

Queue up for ordering

It's take me 30min to get my burgers, because it's crowded with people due to those early birds coming to try on this new shop. I ordered Chicken burgers that is A+ [RM15] with sharp cheddar, caramalised onions, shiitake & Enokie Mushrooms. Yeah, my burgers came with bamboo charcoal breads, I use my finger to poke bamboo charcoal breads, indeed fresh and fluffy and the aroma of grilled chicken smell good, once I give a bite on it, speechless of word, all I can it's DELICIOUS, can't stop it giving a few more bites on it.

Chicken burgers that is A+ set [RM20.00]

Fresh grilled chicken meats

More fillings

Next, was the Smoked Sloppy Joe set with beef patty, grilled given roasted fragrant on it. The burger set using white fluffy breads, goes with mustard's sauce definitely yummy yummy taste. Eat together with fun  fries. My friend claimed that fun fries was crispy and crunchy, dipping into secret sauce that would be a memorable dish compare with burgers. The Style of wrapping of the burger makes it easy when you bite it, as you don't need to get your hands dirty when you're enjoying your meal.

Smoked Sloppy Joe set [RM18.00]

Fresh burgers xD

Memorable moments

I can't see there's pork burger at the moment, which means at the moments are PORK FREE but according to face book fan page, their website they're trying to apply for NON-HALAL certificate. I love to dine her especially fresh everything here and also worth for the money value. Recommended to try here, tasted good.

Lan Je Steam Fish @ USJ 1 Subang Jaya

Came across this restaurant from Emmie's Diary blog post. She recommended me to dine here, the popular restaurant which only serve FRESH Tilapia Fish, in Klang Valley. This shop originally from Rawang, and recently opening a few branches in Klang Valley which attracted me to try it out. It's a good news for me. I don't need purposely travelling down all the way to Rawang just to enjoy FRESH steamed tilapia fish anymore because Lan Jie Steamed Fish now nested in US1 Subang Jaya.

Main Entrance

I feel weird, as I walked into the shop, I saw everyone in every table was eating their own fish. First time ever seen this scenario, I'm shocked with it, can't wait  to ask the waitress. Introduced by Lan Je, "One Person One Fish". Finally I have unlocked the mystery behind this, no wonder everyone in the restaurant was having a whole fish by themselves.

Non-Spicy RM16.00

A bit of complicated when the ordering process took place. The waitress explained further in details, they only STEAM the Tilapia fish. I'm sure it's dull just to eat like that right? Fred not, a few choices of topping available for your selection. Non-Spicy topped with dashes of soy sauce, chili bean paste sauce, diced garlic, shredded gingers to cover up the fishy odor.

Fish meat was chewy, smooth, velvety flesh and juicy

Fish was served to us slightly about 25 min, I use the fork to poke out the meat, hot steam coming up from the meat, can't wait to try it out. Fish meat was chewy, smooth, velvety flesh and juicy, that's the perfect timing in steaming fish.

Mild-Spicy RM16.00

Next was the mild spicy that we ordered for the night, consists of the basic ingredients and garnish with mild chili padi into the fish and eat with that. If you like to challenge your taste bud, recommended you to try out the highest level of spiciness with lots of chili padi till burning your tongue and your ears.

The Sing kong Tofu RM13.00

We ordered side dishes to balance out everything. Slightly disappointing, because limited selection for the side dishes.Next wast the The Sing kong Tofu is smooth and tasty, nothing much to complaint about. Huge portion just enough for 3-4 person.

Kam Heong Chicken balls RM14.00

Next was the  Kam Heong Chicken balls, which something different to try it out. Used to had pork balls but too bad, this restaurant is 100% PORK FREE. It's HALAL restaurant indeed.

Stir fried Four Angled Beans RM12.00

Stir fried Four Angled Beans tasted good which good Wok Hei, huge portion just enough to get you bloated. Overall, I love to dine but can't bear with huge crowd of people especially during the weekends. Some time no place to seat, recommended to come early if you want to dine here. Price for the food here always reasonable compare to other seafood restaurant.

Umai-Ya @ IOI Boulevard Puchong

First time been to UMAI-YA for my birthday dinner with my siblings. I heard of this restaurant famous for FRESH Shashimi. Now I got a chance to try it out myself.

Umai-Ya @ IOI Boulevard Puchong

And the best place for dining it's Uptown at Damansara branch, but it's too far for me to travel down just for dinner. Before that I did a search where the nearest branch from my house, oh yes nearest would be in Puchong, specifically nestled at IOI Boulevard the new business commercialize park. Now it's so much nearer, that I can go there anytime without delay.

Wasabi

Not much different from other Japanese restaurant, Umai-ya was decorated with wooden floors, some tatami seats.Walk in, saw a few VIP private rooms are available to cater business function or personal private functions. Weekdays normally not crowded with people, easily get your seats.

ChawanMushi RM9.90

We were given menu, the waiter suppose to take orders immediately but nobody answering us. Waited almost 20 min just to get our orders done definitely it's unpleasant experience to be. Our drinks been serve almost 15 min late. Services not very good here, because I can see lack of waiter and waitress in serving customers during the weekdays, I can't image if the particular day it's a weekend for the buffet type.

Out first dish was the appetizer ChawanMushi, I would say ok to eat, not bad the taste. Sister still prefer ChawanMushi from Sakae, she admitted Sakae Sushi better in serving ChawanMushi. Next was the Katsu Chicken Rice and Katsu Chicken Noodles for both sister and brother. Both of them said the gravy it's rather watery, the tasting running out a bit, should be thicker and more creamy.

Katsu Chicken Rice RM25.00

Katsu Chicken Noodles RM25.00

Next was the very famous dish in Umai-Ya, FRESH Shashimi. Thick slices of fresh Salmon, always my favorite, raw fish consists lots of omega. Once i put into my mouth bite, ok ok to eat. Some how my taste bud said not the freshest as compare other Japanese restaurant. But I have no complaint about this Shashimi, 5 pieces for RM22, worth for the value money.

Shashimi RM22.00

Next round, I ordered Salmon Bento set for my dinner. Slightly huge portion with a bowl of rice, a few pieces of Salmon sushi and a big piece of fried salmon with soup, salad and fresh fruits. I love to eat fried salmon just nice not overcook, tasted good it's cost about RM52 per set.

Salmon Bento Set RM52.00

Fried Salmon and Salmon Sushi

Sister decided to have Ladies set, consist of big bowl or mushroom soup, salads, mixed varieties of sushi and also serve with fresh fruits. This set specially design for ladies who want go for slimming eat less. It cost about RM32 per set. Nothing much to complaint about, according to sister.

Ladies Set RM32.00

Big Bowl of Salad and Mixed Varieties of Sushi

Honestly, the quality of the food overall is ok, just that services need for improvement for better quality. I enjoyed myself here on my birthday dinner, thanks to my family for lovely treats. Love you all. Cheers!!
