Coffee Chemistry Signature @ First Subang Mall

First Subang Mall is very impressive shopping mall. Not much choices of shopping but varieties of food available there. I'm attracted by a group of food bloggers recently visited this famous CAFE, and they came out with positive review on this CAFE last month. After reading it, can't resist myself to give a try on this. Wondering what am I talking about? Definitely is the very famous Coffee Chemistry Signature at First Subang Mall. Simple dinner here with my family, and this is second time I been here after my first visit during December 2011.

Main Entrance

Coffee Chemistry Signature located on the ground floor of newly open First Subang Mall that hosted with a few famous brand like Overtime, Library, Cha Time, Edo Echi, etc. Coffee Chemistry Signature had a totally new concept compare to their first outlet as I guess that they have improved on servicing line.

Flipping thru their menu, they extended more food and choice of drinks. Impressive menu their have with affordable price range that anyone would feel comfortable when dining in. From drinks, appetizer, main course, salad, till desserts that you're able to count on it. Western, Chinese, Japanese, etc cuisine  are available here for your choice of selection.

Fresh Watermelon RM4.90

Mom was enjoying fresh blended watermelon, couldn't resist myself to sip some too. I'm surprised that this fruit juice is FREE of sugar. No sugar added and it's perfect for those people who actually want a healthy drink this is your choice. Real pure fruit drink easing thirst during hot weather.

Iced Cafe Mocha RM8.90

Flavored Cafe Cappuccino Mocha RM9.50

For coffee lovers, definitely this a perfect place for you to visit. I always miss their coffee which is a must for me here. Brother had Iced Cafe Mocha which came in leaves shape and myself had Flavored Cafe Cappuccino Mocha which came with a nice heart shape. Damn attracted by heart shape. Couldn't resist to snap photo for this.

The coffee foam had a texture and thickness, the foam here was flawless. The micro foam was velvety smooth, without much air bubbles and it remained that way throughout the duration of my meal. What’s more impressive is their coffee which was aromatic but not bitter. I did not have to use a single pack of sugar that night. And you’d be glad to know that I could still sleep soundly after this cup of coffee. And someone like to tease me that foam always stained on my mouth which created fake mustache on my mouth. =P

 Butter Herb Rice with Teriyaki Chicken & Broccoli RM8.90

Mom had this Butter Herb Rice with Teriyaki Chicken & Broccoli, The butter herb rice it was served with was most flavourful. The rice was generously mixed with Italian herbs, giving it such a nice fragrance that could be overpowering for some. Happily enjoying her meal without complaining much.

Chicken Ham Wrap with Nacho Chips & Homemade Dressings RM5.90

Bro had this Chicken Ham Wrap with Nacho Chips & Homemade Dressings. Find that its very value for money, perfectly marinated and grill to its juiciness. I can see he enjoying it well. He just love this.

Baked Chicken Chop with In-House Mushroom Sauce RM16.90

Bro also had this Baked Chicken Chop with In-House Mushroom Sauce. This served with Butter Herb Rice, Homemade Mashed Potatoes and Fresh Green Vegetables. Tender and moist to go with mushroom gravies.

Chicken Skewer with Mango Salsa Sauce RM15.90

I had this Chicken Skewer with Mango Salsa Sauce. Served with Butter Herb Rice, Homemade Mashed Potatoes and Fresh Green I love mango salsa sauce which is good combination with chicken skewer, mushrooms, onions and green and red capsicum which make the presentation lovely. Love this dish very much, recommended.

Seafood Carbonara Choice of Sauce with Spicy Carbonara RM21.90

Lastly little sis had this Seafood Carbonara Choice of Sauce with Spicy Carbonara. It was not too creamy, according to little sis, she said can taste that their gravy was well season with seafood. This is also one of her remarkable favorite food here.

WiFi and board game available here to east your boring while you're waiting for your food. For those craving for beers, this is right place for cheap beers. Lastly, satisfy with the services and friendly staffs with smiling face. I’m happy to recommend you to come not just for the coffee but also not forgetting to try the food too!! Cheers~

Chu14 Part II - Nutella Ice-Cream by The Last Polka

After lunch, next round would be desserts. It's lucky enough that I saw in Facebook share out on "Double upon World of Nutella" BUY 1 get FREE 1 on Nutella Ice-cream today at RM9.20. I'm so crazy about this ice-cream by the dynamic gal power of May Yee and Ee Vee are innovative in ice-cream flavors. Home made ice-cream by them with 100% natural ingredients, combined with their creamy French-style ice cream with the regional Asian flavors they love.

This time promotion with Nutella flavor, first time ever tried on it. As I know Nutella is chocolate jam spread. Never knew if this chocolate can be made into delicious ice-cream. The right time right moment, I bought this in The Whisk Espresso Bar & Bake Shop at Empire Gallery Shopping Mall. Good thing must be share out. Nigel had a chance to taste ice-cream, with lovely promotion.

Chu14 Part I - The Street Cafe Ss15 Subang Jaya

So fast CNY going to end soon. It will be another 2 days more. Today the 14th of CNY another long weekend holiday, co-incidence in conjunction of  Awal-Muharram 05/02/2012, Chap Goh Meh 06/02/2012 & Thaipusam 07/02/2012 falling on this date which actually Malaysia National holiday. This time Nigel visited me during this holiday.

Arriving in noon time, I bought him to this The Street Cafe in Ss15 Subang Jaya, located directly opposite of Taylors Subang Jaya Campus has a very nice and warmth environment to hang out with your buddies over a meal. The place is nicely decorated which attracted with that much and it's famous in Klang Valley.

The Street Café is a unique, casual, and fun dining restaurant offering more than 100 selections of Korean Street Food including BBQ chicken sticks, TOBOKI (Rice Cake in Korean Chili Sauce), BIBIMBAB (Hot Stone Bowl Mixed Rice), DEOPBAB (Egg Fried Rice with Various Toppings), TOKGALBI (Minced Beef with Grilled Cheese), JAJANG NOODLE (Black Bean Sauce) and more. Is also known as one of the First and few HALAL Korean Restaurant.

I would said friendly service, quick serving meal, excellent food which it's affordable price. Even students able to enjoy meal here. Well decorated shop with lovely note, ambiance environment to dine. Most important wifi is available here. You can even bring your work or assignment here to do. Worth while, visiting this place.

Next, was the lucky draw that practice in tradition to have lucky draws. Prizes sponsored by our suppliers. There were Ipad 2 x 4, X-Box 360 x 1, Canon digital camera x 1, WD External HD x 4, Vouchers and Hampers out for grabs. Everyone excited with the rewards, Ipad 2, who don't want? Lastly, event ended up with photo sessions as memorable moments for year of 2012. Being casual that day because it's friday, t-shirt and jeans at the most presentable outfit that day. Sales team, operation team and technical team made everything success. All is about co-operation working in a team. Pray for the best, hope everything go smooth for year of 2012.

Chu12 - Part I Restaurant Oversea Armada Hotel

After back reporting work from long CNY holiday, now it's the time to celebrate corporate "spring dinners" that show a good sign of business resume back to normal. We had dinner at Restaurant Overseas at Armada Hotel, Petaling Jaya. Oversea Restaurant is a chain under the Restaurant Oversea Corporation Sdn Bhd. Their chain of restaurants are mostly located around the Klang Valley area.

Mostly, cooperates ranging from small, medium business enterprise will have dinner Chinese around this time. Restaurants were fully booked. We were lucky that committee team members reserve 3 tables for 10 pax each. Dinner set at in the evening, due to heavy jam we reached by 8 plus, then I saw the whole restaurant was full with people and it's so noisy!

Chinese restaurants usually have a few set menus up during all these extremely peak periods. I think this is to ease the chefs, kitchen helpers and everyone else in the restaurant to manage the huge crowd. That being said, humans being humans, when you get too busy or tired, the quality sort of deteriorates. I can bet with you.

Red Wine

Due heavy jam with unknown reasons, event started with chit chatting and chilling with drinks. We're served with red wine as refreshment. While waiting for everyone to arrive we started with games which everyone like it especially during CNY. We room is more peaceful compare to the outside which is extremely noisy.

Yee Sang

Yee Sang with Raw Salmon

The very first dish is always have to be Yea Sang with Salmon slice of raw fish. The ingredients inside this yee sang were rather rough in sizes and shapes. It could do with more of the sweet and sour sauce. Counting it myself, this is third time that I have “lou sang” through out the beginning of Dragon Year. Joyfully everyone shouted "HUAT!! HUAT!! HUAT!!" for good prosperity.

Shark Fin Soup

Another yet common expensive shark-fin soup was served right after our Yee Sang. Nor too thick or thin in consistency, this was well prepared. Everyone had two bowls of shark fins this round, there's still plenty left over this time. Not forgetting vinegar together with shark fin soups definitely kicking up taste bud.

 Steam Cod fish with Vegetable & Seaweeds

Next was the Fish dish. Cod fish is probably my favourite type of fish. This fish has a natural layer of fats that when you put it in your mouth, you can taste just how rich the fats is. I would say so so only this time. Rating 7/10 It's ok for the time being.

 Butter Stir Fried Prawns

Next dish will be Butter stir fried prawns. Not sure that how was these prawns were prepared. Honestly, I am not too sure because according to team mates, have bad reputation on eating this prawns goes with red wine. Team mate feel slightly uncomfortable feel like throwing out when combined with red wine. Beside that  I felt prawns not fresh enough, just ordinary at about 5/10. Even though the size of the prawns were huge, something’s missing in its taste.

Braised Abalone, Sea Cucumber, Brocolli, Black Moss, Dried Oyster

Dish is not complete without vegetables in every servings. This round, braised abalone, sea cucumber, broccoli, black moss and dried oysters. This dish quite famous and it's available in every restaurant during CNY. Black moss, sea cucumber and dried oysters represent auspicious symbolism to the Chinese New Year, so is considered mandatory meal in between 8-10 course meal.

Steam Herbal Chicken

Feel strange when the waitress served us this big pot of dish. Opened up the lid, only realized inside it's steam herbal chicken. I'm quite disappointing with this dish, first chef did not cut nor slices it well. After served, waitress only took a pair of scissor diving and cutting into small pieces. I would said it's so unhygienic to cut in front of us. I lost the appetite on eating this serious. Some how, team mate was eating looks yummy, I decided to give a try at the end. First bite, chicken over cooked meat slightly harden and chewy. Hard to swallow, gravy of chicken essence also so so only. I would rate 4/10 not very good this time.

Glutinous Rice [Nasi Pulut], wrapped with lotus leaves

This round was the Glutinous Rice [Nasi Pulut], wrapped with lotus leaves. The rice is over cooked, too soft tasteless. Rice wrapped with minced meat, portion is just nice for one person. I would give it a 5/10 and it's also so so only.

Water Chestnut Agar-agar

Sea Horse Ginseng Root with Sea Coconut & Longan

Lastly dessert served with Water Chestnut Agar-agar and Sea Horse Ginseng Root with Sea Coconut & Longan. Dessert I would say not bad. Both given rating 8/10 cold and refreshing desserts after whole set of meal. Overall enjoy myself in this ambiance.
