Day 2: Part I - Sun Rise @ Lavender Resort, Bali

After fresh sleep, morning wake up by alarm, heard of bird chirping on the window. Pulling out the curtain, I saw bright sunlight shines into my bedroom. Time to get ready for next round activities. Shower and getting ready for breakfast. The day was early, mom dragged me along for photo shooting around the hotel area.

Morning Glory

Garden backyard

Love the behind garden of this resort, beautiful landscaping with morning glory shine in the garden yard behind this hotel. Suits with Balinese styles, stone cravings must not forgetting in hotel decorations. As I walked along the pathway, saw a beautiful stone craved fountain welcoming at the entrance of swimming pool. Water falling down from the fountain creating rhythm of music, giving a peaceful mind.

Day 1: Part VI - Ayam Penyet @ Bali

Right after the whole day trip of the day, we ended our first day trip with lovely dinner. According to tour guide he brought us to try Ayam Penyet that is one of the famous dishes in Indonesia. Can't recall the name of the restaurant, but it's cosy environment to enjoy meal. Well decorated with Balinese style which given us a warm welcome to the restaurant.

Small pool fountain

Food were served early as I believe, was ordered earlier as it's included in our tour package. We had Indonesian hot tea for the drinks and Soya Cincau for my appetizer. I'm not use the tea which fill with strong Indonesian smell, it's ok to drink but it's not my cup of tea. Sames goes to Soya Cincau, rather weird with syrup taste, perhaps I'm so use to Malaysia taste, sort of odd to drink here.

Ready for dinner

Plate served with basket wrapped with paper

Soya Cincau & Indonesian hot tea

Indonesia places a special emphasis on fresh or even raw ingredients. Nasi timbel, which consists of rice wrapped up in a banana leaf, an assortment of raw vegetables known as lalapan (a term that covers cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, coriander leaves, cabbage and more), a freshly pounded chili sauce known as sambal dadak, some tofu or tempeh and maybe a chicken leg, catfish (ikan lele) or some salted fish. This is commonly served with sayur asam, a sour vegetable soup flavored with tamarind.

Ayam Penyet for dinner ^_^

Rice wrapped with banana leaves, drooling when opening the banana leaves. Caution! I nearly got my hand burn. as I'm not aware banana rice still hot. It's a warm rice combines well with Ayam Penyet and lalapan dip with sambal dadak. One word, delicious!! Soup is rather good as it's sour opening up appetite xD

Beautifully arranged in basket

Everyone happily enjoying meal, after that back to hotel rest and have a good sleep. Tired and exhausted the whole day, but it's fun. What we're doing on Day 2? More upcoming post... Hope you all enjoy reading. Have a great day ahead!! =)

Day 1: Part VI - Tirtha Empul Temple @ Bali

Our next trip were getting down to Balinese worship place that is famous in the world. Tirta Empul Temple or Tampak Siring Temple is a holy spring water temple located in Tampak Siring Village, Gianyar regency and it is about 39 km eastwards from Denpasar town.

Tirtha Empul Temple is a Hindu temple, famous for its Holy water where Hindu Bali people go for purification. Legend has it that the sacred spring was created by the god Indra. His forces had been poisoned by Mayadanawa, so he pierced the earth to create a fountain of immortality to revive them. An inscription dates the founding of a temple at the site to 926 AD. Ever since - for more than a thousand years - the Balinese have come to bathe in the sacred waters for healing and spiritual merit.

On the left side of the temple is a modern villa on the hill.

which is now used as a rest house for important guests.

The Tirta Empul Temple includes the traditional Balinese split gate along with shrines to Shiva, Vishnu, Braham, Mt. Batur, and Indra. There is also a large open pavilion in the main courtyard, useful for relaxing in the shade.

But the main attraction here is a long rectangular pool carved of stone, filled with koi and fed by the sacred spring via 12 fountains. Worshippers first make an offering at the temple, then climb into the main pool to bathe and pray. Many collect the holy water in bottles to take home. Nearby there are two smaller pools fed by the spring.

Overlooking the temple on a hill above is a suprisingly modern building: the Government Palace, built in 1954. Originally a residence for Dutch officials, it was later used by former President Soekarno during his frequent trips to Bali. Pura Tirta Empul is located in the village of Tampak Siring, accessible by public transportation from Ubud. The souvenir stands outside the temple specialize in the local craft, carved bone jewelry.

Worth while visiting here to understand Hinduism culture. Peace of mind when you're here especially when you hear the sound of spring water flowing from the mountain. Up next will be our dinner time. Where will be heading for dinner? Catch up with me on the next post... ^_^

Summer BBQ & Steamboat @ Mentari Court

Last month I had April birthday gathering at Summer BBQ & Steamboat restaurant with friends during lunch hour. It's located at Mentari Court Building, Bandar Sunway. It's relatively smaller steamboat restaurant compared to Restaurant Yuen (which is just opposite this restaurant),

Summer offers a rooftop outdoor environment. The price for steamboat lunch buffet is RM18.80 (adult), RM9.80 (children) and RM13.80 (senior citizen). However, the price for the dinner is RM28.80 (adult), RM13.80 (children) and RM19.80 (senior citizen). Free flow drinks are available for your convenience.

Summer BBQ & Steamboat

Pot with gas stove which consist Tong Yam & Chicken soup

Spacious place and it's clean too

As usual for steamboat buffet, all the foods are placed outside and you take what you want. Whereas for the BBQ portion, you will need to choose the foods that you want to BBQ, then pass that to them and they will served you once it is cooked. Hmm.. i prefer this method because you wont looks oily after the dinner. Not like some of the restaurant out there, lauya.. after the lunch, i was so smelly (i mean the smell that stick to my shirt) and the face looks so oily. You also don't want to look like that right? =P

Nothing much special except the BBQ method, foods are less and limited. In fact i dont really eat a lot coz dont really suit my taste anyway. Go there is just for the sake of trying new restaurant in my area. =P Here are some photos before the party starts! =D
