Chu15 - Part IV - KL International Airport

Right after we left Sepang Gold Coast. On the way back home, we dropped by to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Kuala Lumpur International Airport or KLIA serves the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, and is one of Southeast Asia's largest airports. It is also Malaysia's main international airport. It is situated in the Sepang district, in the south of the state of Selangor, about 50 km from Kuala Lumpur.

Airport Entrance

Touring Nigel around, as this is his first time been to KLIA, showed him the road directions from Sepang Gold Coast. Approximately 25 min drive to KLIA. That time was heavy rain with storm, rather driving slow around 80km but me managed to reach there with cover roof top parking. Need to pay for parking, an hour it's about RM2. I been frequently going airport to pick up my daddy upon arrival from overseas, so i'm familiar with the area. Don't mind to spend some time for Nigel as well.

Next is we take tour to the opposite building to check on our national airline. Malaysian Airline System Berhad, (abbreviated MAS), is the government-owned flag carrier of Malaysia. Malaysia Airlines operates flights from its home base, Kuala Lumpur International Airport and with a secondary hub at Kuching. The airline plans to relocate its headquarters from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport to KLIA in February 2012.

The Main terminal building or Terminal 1 is located in between the two runways. The contact pier is the rectangular-shaped terminal that is connected to the Main Terminal Building. It serves as the domestic terminal for Malaysia Airlines. Some international flights are handled there as well. Previously it used to cater to low-cost carriers' passengers. At the north side of the pier, it can only accommodate narrow-bodied aircraft. In contrast, the south side of the contact pier can accommodate Boeing 737 and Boeing 747 or similar sized aircraft.

The Satellite terminal A building accommodates international flights departing and arriving at KLIA. Passengers have to travel to the satellite building via the Aerotrain. There is a wide array of duty-free shops and prestige brand boutiques in the satellite building. A number of restaurants and international airlines lounges are available as well as an Airside Transit Hotel.

Within the terminal, wireless internet (Wifi) is provided free of charge. The terminal also has prayer rooms, showers and massage service. Various lounge areas are provided, some including children's play areas and movie lounge, broadcasting movie and sport channels such as Star Movies. The terminal also features a natural rainforest in the middle of the terminal, exhibiting the Malaysian forests.

Tea break

My tea time =)

Everyone's tea time =D

After touring finished touring around the airport, it's time we stop by for tea break. Ever first time I have tea in airport. We went into Old Town for tea. It's rather self services, and everyone enjoying with a cup of coffee. I had my favourite Halzet Nut White Coffee. While waiting we waiting for coffee everyone busy with phone connecting to Wifi. Cooling and quite to enjoy here. Bear in mind airport will be rather expensive compare to other places, pinch in the pocket... @_@ Having fun with them is always the best. Even though I been to this place many times, I never get bored going with different type of peoples. This is always unique. Hahaha.. Thank you, my dearest friend Nigel and Emmie xD

Chu15 - Part III - Sepang Gold Coast

Next destination will be resort place. Perak you will have Teluk Batik beach, whereby Selangor not bad either, famous with Golden Palm. Sepang Gold Coast is a great escape, especially if you are staying in Kuala Lumpur and wanted to do something else than shopping in the same shopping centers and same amusement centers like Suria KLCC, Pavillion or Sungai Wang Plaza. After busy weekdays in Kuala Lumpur, a break away weekend holiday within driving distance to Sepang Gold Coast, definitively is a good choice.

Signature Landmark

Sepang Gold Coast has been declared as the longest coastal paradise in Asia. Located at the Pantai Bagan Lalang which is around 60 – 75 minutes (about 80+ km) from Kuala Lumpur, 45 minutes from PutraJaya and 25 minutes from KLIA. We reached there almost 1pm, noon time and it's hot sunny day.

Emmie applying as well =P

Applying for myself =P

Lot's of local people here as big national holiday, everywhere were crowded with people. Hardly can find parking either, drive till the end of beach to search for parking finally managed to slot in open land green field area for parking. I'm surprised that Nigel did bring his sun block. Guys would actually wear sun block? @_@ kind odd but it's ok to do so, to protect from UV. I keep on promoting his sun block haha.. cool right? Without delaying my time, I applied sun block before going out... xD

Sepang Gold Coast beach

Camping activity

Group photo

This is how Sepang Gold Coast look like. The beach is clear without any water. Everyone is walking center to the beach, taking some fresh air. Local people choose to have family picnic and camping activities for school trips. Youngsters were playing beach football, flying kites, etc etc. Some of the rules and regulations need to follow otherwise you will be fine with penalty compound. Tiny little fine sands absolutely good to reduce heat on the earth.

Low tide

Dry sea coz low tide

I love here xD

The beach is very clean with clear water, unlike the neighboring  beach, Port Dickson and Morib. Sepang beach is full of lively species, almost wherever you step your foot on, you’ll see crabs and various of species. Now it's low tide, we walk at least 2km out to the sea to take some photos. Aside we're also careful as high-tide water may come in very fast way!! Under hot sun it's burning. @_@

Walked nearly about 2km, saw lot's of fishing nets used by fishermen for fishing crabs or sea shells. Half way through. suddenly Nigel warned us to get back to the shore as water in coming in quick way. We need to rush back immediately before the big wave of water is coming back. I had the fear of Tsunami.. -_-"

Signature 2012

June 2012 xD

I signed off here with my own signature that I landed here for year of 2012. Remarkable place to be even though it's hot, tired and exhausted but worth it. Hardly get a chance walking on the dry sea. Worth while driving here. Dunno how to get here? Fred not, below are some of the guideline for your references to Sepang Gold Coast.

How to go Sepang Gold Coast from Kuala Lumpur ?

1) Drive towards KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport)
2) Take note, before KLIA, there is a turning to Sepang F1 Circuit/LCCT (low cost carrier terminal)
3) Go all the way straight, as you are reaching the Sepang F1 Circuit, look for the signboard
to turn into Sepang Gold Coast. (You would not miss it, so drive slower and keep to
    the left lane.)
4) Once you see Sepang F1 Circuit is on your right side, go straight until you see the cross
junction traffic light, Turn right ( look for the signboard that says “Sungai Pelek”)
5) The roads will now be more narrow, just follow the signboard to “Bagan lalang, Sepang gold
    coast or Sg Pelek”.
6) After quite awhile of driving, you’ll see a sigboard to “Seri Malaysia”, follow the signboard.
While return back to Kuala Lumpur, be-careful and don’t go take the Klang way.

Hawker Stall food

We had late lunch, by eating hawkers that is sold along the road side. Burgers RM4 each for me and Emmie, while Nigel had rojak buah RM3 as lunch. Not forgetting our cold drinks RM1 each to east our thirst under hot sun. Everyone's had red rosy cheekcs coz under sun burnt. Love you all.. Cheers xD

Chu15 - Part II - Sepang F1 Circuit

Right after breakfast, touring Nigel around Klang Valley. First destination, we headed to Sepang International Circuit. It is a motorsport race track in Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia. It is located near Kuala Lumpur International Airport, approximately 60 km south of the capital city Kuala Lumpur. It is the venue used for the Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix, A1 Grand Prix as well as the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix. It is also used as a venue for many other major motorsport events.

ELITE highway, Sepang Toll

Departing from Subang Jaya, USJ using ELITE highway about 30min drive, you exit to Sepang toll 1 way RM4.70. After toll continue another 15 min drive to Sepang International Circuit. There's many other alternative way you can use to reach here.

Weather was fine that day, allowed us to shoot a few photos. We stop by the parking entrance behind green hill for photos as memories. Slightly hard to capture full wordings of SEPANG F1 CIRCUIT, but managed to adjust in order to get the full image of the wordings.

At Security Gate Entrance

Due to tight security reason, we're not able to go into the circuits unless there's big major event hosted, otherwise it's on guard 24hrs. I'm only able to snap photo at the security guard entrance only. This how the main entrance look like with map of the whole entire circuit lead.

Main Entrance

This circuit created by German designer Hermann Tilke, the circuit made quite an impact when it opened in 1999. It's one of the most popular tracks with drivers thanks to its unusual layout: there are 15 turns and eight straights, including one very long back straight separated from pits by just one very tight hairpin. So, don't miss a trip to Malaysia's premier race circuit in Sepang, which every season hosts the Formula 1, as well as the Malaysian Moto Grand Prix. The next up coming F1 will be on 25, 26, 27 March 2012.

The Sepang International Circuit, covering an impressive area of 260ha, regularly hosts motorsports events. One of the world's top race circuits, man and machine are tested to the limit here with the challenging 5.542km track. The track has 15 turns and eight straights stretches. Aside from this main track, the Sepang International Circuit also houses two smaller tracks - the North Track and the South Track, each nearly 3,000m long. It also has a 1,200m long tarmac go-kart circuit which has 11 turns.

Sepang has the only double frontage grandstand in the world which can accommodate up to 30,000 spectators; a further 100,000 spectators will be able to experience the excitement from the uncovered stands. Home of Malaysia's motorsports, the Sepang International Circuit has hosted the FIA Malaysia Formula One Championship, Japan GT Championship, and a host of other national and international race competitions. It also hosts track-days on most weekends where owners of fast cars and bikes can test out their limits for a fee.

Lastly, group photo taken for memories. Everyone enjoyed it well because it's a peaceful day, nobody disturb our outing. This my second time visit to this place, read more here. =)
