Nom Nom Chomper @ Kelana Square

Burgers! Burgers! Burgers! Lately I been seeing a lot burgers restaurant / cafe blooming like a mushroom around Klang Valley. Why they are so famous nowadays? Well this week another burger cafe caught my attention through my friend who is working next block of this building.

Nom Nom Chomper @ Kelana Square

As I stepped into the cafe around 6PM (GMT+8), cafe was rather empty perhaps it's not dinner time yet, I can have peaceful time to enjoy my food in a quiet environment. Quite cozy and owner like to decorate the wall with English famous comic such as Spiderman, Incredible Hulk, Wolverine, etc poster, sort of like in the comic world for the moment. Neat in a away table arrangement, cafe design never let me down. I only feel it's air con it's not cold enough not sure if is the weather affecting the room temp inside.

I love the charcoal bun moist and soft, big piece of chicken breast decent flavor, chicken breast rather plain suitable for those who health conscious and want to eat healthy.

Chicken patties well marinated with flavors, easy to chew and not soggy. Friend recommended beef is more better than chicken patties. All the burgers set are excluded drinks. Drinks would be average of RM4 above, and it's NOT bottomless. They do have varieties of drinks such as coffee, tea, fruit juice.

Sushi King CNY Promotions @ First Subang

The tradition of Lou Sang would never forget in my mind. This is the third time I Lou Sang with buddies after a few Lou Sang with colleagues, family and relatives. Talking about Yee Sang, I still prefer fresh ingredients rather than those dried ingredients sealed from packaging. While I'm browsing through facebook, Yee Sang offered by Sushi King caught my attention.  Sushi King Yee Sang came in two sizes large would be [RM38.88] and mini size cost [RM8.88]. This year I had smaller head count, so I ordered a mini Yee Sang just enough for three of us.

Combination of tempura flakes, Hotate [Japanese Scallop], Kurage [sea jelly], filament eggs, crab sticks and the tiny shredded slices of the cucumber and fresh salmon slice that bundle like a rose shape, not forgetting the sweet and sour plum sauce. Thumbs up!! Yee Sang is actually raw fish salad, symbolize of abundance, prosperity and vigor. Oishi! xD

Chocolate Raspberry Cheese Cake

Thick, moist chocolate cake, middle part was the thick creamy raspberry cheese.

The more a look at it the more drooling I am. This slice of cake consist three layers, first and bottom layer are the thick, moist chocolate cake, middle part was the thick creamy raspberry cheese. I love the topping coated with dash of cocoa powder, rather more fillings! Just a small bite, it's heavenly delicious all the flavors are well balance. I love raspberry cream, sour plus the salty cheese too! must taste it slowly, a piece it's not enough for me... I want more and more, please! ARRRGGHHHHH~~~

I took a sip of black coffee that is sugarless, I feel great, with strong aroma of black coffee, well roasted. Coffee of the day cost RM7.90 for Venti size, while the Chocolate Raspberry Cheese Cake cost RM10.90. Expensive? Have you try the CNY promotion as well? Do share with me too, Cheers! =D

ORIENTAL PAVILION @ Jaya 33, PJ

I'm back to blogging after busy from Chinese New Year. Now only got spare time to update my blog. I had a chance to join company Sau Kong lunch at Oriental Pavilion 大港城酒家 for the Snake year 2013. Famous for Chinese cuisine that serve in traditional way. Can't wait to taste yummy food!
Table for ten at Oriental Pavilion

Time for gathering, after hard work throughout the year. Table for ten people must not be missing out. We're being served by Chinese Tea while waiting to rest to arrive. Everyone busy talking and updating each other before going back to hometown reunion with family. It's private room, cozy under air-conditioned. One of my favorite snacks on the table, steamed ground nuts with broth. Unique in a way if would to compare with the normal ground nuts that I use to eat on Chinese restaurant.

Snacks, steamed groundnuts

Since CNY mood is around the corner, the joy of Lou Sang mood is on, first dish must be the big Yee Sang on top of us. Platter consists of dried ingredients are mainly shredded vegetables, pickled, crackers, and not forgetting the most important is the fresh Salmon fish for Lou Sang. We were given a longer and bigger chopstick for Lou Hei, everyone yelling out loud with good wishes. "Huat ar!"

Big platter of Yee Sang

The packets of crackers for Yee Sang

There you go, crackers seating on top Yee Sang!

Lou Sang, HUAT! HUAT! HUAT!

After Yee Sang, we're served with first dish Double-Boiled Coral Shark’s Fin in Coconut (Individual serving) 椰 皇 炖 勾 翅 Uniquely served in a coconut shell, which safe a lot of trouble to scoop into the bowl. I love the broth fragrant with coconut smell, thick and tasty with the generous amount of seafood that sweeten the broth. I'm wondering if they're using the real shark fin?

Double-Boiled Coral Shark’s Fin in Coconut

Is that real shark fin?

Next was the Deep Fried Fish wrapped with lettuce and chili paste [secret ingredients created by chef]. Crunchy for the first bite, chili paste opening flavor, savory, mild spicy that makes you won't stop biting. Fresh fish meat well fried in golden color. It reminded me the same concept of eating Korean BBQ meat wrapping on the lettuce, always chicken, beef, pork meat, I never knew fried fish can wrap with this as well, unique!

Deep Fried Fish wrapped with lettuce and chili paste

I wrapped and eat like this! Delicious!

We had two round of fishes, up next will be the Poached Live Tiger Prawns with ‘Shao Hsing’ Wine & Wolfberry 杞 子 绍 酒 灼 活 草 虾 Prawns swimming indeed, I couldn't resist myself on the soup with thick 'Shao Hsing' wine. I saluted chef's skill on boiling the soup, big fresh prawn with juicy meat. I prefer this compare to fried prawns. Decent flavors I admitted it.

Prawn swimming in my bowl! I love the soup!

The BBQ Whole Suckling Pig with Glutinous Rice 炭 烧 糯 米 乳 猪 was the star of the night. Creative idea from the chef, combined both together is an excellent idea without wasting resources. Piglet are fried in golden color, thin layer of skin crunchy and crispy dipping into BBQ sauce, nice to eat but it's fattening, hahaha.. Glutinous Rice just at the timing, not to soft not too hard, decent with flavors.

After that, our next dish was the Braised Whole Abalone with Broccoli 原 粒 3 头 鲍 鱼伴 西 兰 花. Baby abalone delicious!! It's cute in size, tender and moist with oyster sauce thick broth goes together with fresh broccoli and fresh mushroom. Delicious!

Braised Whole Abalone with Broccoli

Eight course meal ended with lovely dessert for refreshment, Crispy Yam Puff with Banana & Custard 锦 绣 雪 山 藏 珍 宝 Summer Breeze Coconut Jelly 夏 日 风 情. Crispy Yam Puff wast just nice with sweet filling, I adore the lovely longan and coconut jelly. The whole 8 course bloated until can't move! Enjoying till max =D

Crayon Burger @ SS15 Subang Jaya

Crayon Burger @ Ss15 Subang Jaya

I came across food bloggers post recently that Crayon Burger are nested in neighborhood of Ss15 Subang Jaya. Since the burgers photo are so tempting, I can't resist to give myself a try on this restaurant. Crayon Burger located on same row with Kimchi Haru but further down towards center rows. It's opposite Ss15 market and Station One Cafe.

I love this art of burger!

As walked into the shop, I'm attracted to words Crayon Burger with colorful crayon painted on the wall. There's meaning over here, colorful crayon representing they're specializing in varieties types of colorful buns, all in made with natural ingredients. The original cream color bun made from milk bun, black bamboo charcoal bun, Vege bun was from spinach, Pink Bun from red yeast and the LATEST launching will be Red Velvet bun made from red yeast.

The Menu

I was greeted by the friendly cashier, also part of partner to Crayon Burger. They were only 2 weeks old and the menu board it's up for your ordering process. The best option is you are allow to choose your own bread with the toppings. Burger itself did not come with a set, you need to top up additional RM5 to get bottomless drink and fries. Other ADD ON available as well, do check on their list for more info.

Cheese Fondue Chicken Burger

Melted cheese, yum!! xD

Friend crafted for Cheese Fondue Chicken Burger with Milk Bun bread. I love the milk bun color which I think is matching with the cheese fondue plus the golden color of chicken patty absolutely an eye catching indeed. Melted cheese decorated with fresh vegetable and secret spices are coated together. First bite, creamy cheese flowing into your mouth kicking your taste bud. Cheese Fondue Chicken burger cost [RM15.50 + RM5.00] with bottomless drink and fries. Recommended for those are cheese lover fans.

The Boss are my option with Red Velvet Bun

Topping for fillings, Yum~

This is how the burger look like~ =P

The Boss are my option with Pinky Bun! This pinky bun with a stick poking on the burger. Once I opened wow, so much of topping such as onion rings, wasabi mayo, heart shape fried egg, swiss cheese and of course not forgetting crispy chicken patty. So much to go, my mouth is too small to wallop everything in. I love the wasabi mayo, it's mild and rich plus fried onions definitely melting in my mouth. Delicious! Creative,  is totally different over here! There's beef option for those beef lover, you might want to try out it yourself. The Boss cost [RM16.00 + RM5.00] with bottomless drink and fries

The bill for the night!

This is Crayon Burger!

Overall the burgers are good, for the sausages an gravy are very much suitable for those people who like mild taste, can't compare with MyBurgerLab which theirs are more richer. Personally I still prefer MyBurgerLab than Crayon Burger. How about you? Have you tasted this burger so far? =D
