They bought me a Tiramisu Cake from Cake Sense. Tiramisu tasted good, moist and soft cake topping with Chocolate powder. Not too sweet just nice for young and elderly people who like to enjoy cake. One of my favorite bakery at the heart of Klang Valley. Enjoying my time with them. Thanks to them for the lovely birthday celebrations. Thank you so much, Cheers~ =D

Suki-Ya @ Paradigm Mall

I been treated for nice yummy food during weekend, one of the Saturday last month for my pre-birthday lunch. I been brainwashed by one of my friend who actually love shabu-shabu very much. Keep on talking about this Suki-Ya repeatedly non-stop, thus I suggested to dine here for my pre-birthday lunch.

Suki-Ya

I'm really blur about this restarant, more like I did not do any research on it. Walk nearer flipping on the menu near the door entrance, only found out that this Suki-Ya is a Japanese buffet concept "EAT ALL YOU CAN" which serve hot pot on shabu-shabu and sukiyaki in a healthy environmental concept, low fat food in a warm atmosphere.

Buffet divided into two categories: Buffet lunch (Adult) RM29.80++ and Buffet dinner (Adult) RM39.80++ while 50% discount for children below 12 year. Make sure you reserve your seats earlier before dining in else you will be ended up standing at the long queue over the weekend during peak hours. Note: Additional 20% charges apply to waste of food.

Buffet Concept

At Suki-Ya, four choices of popular soup base to further entice the diner's palette with the FREE FLOW of freshly sliced meat. Fans of sukiyaki will certainly love our paper thin sliced beef. To complement the rich selection of meat, Suki-Ya offers healthy vegetable bar that always stocked with fresh greens and premium pasteurized eggs. They have specially made dipping sauce available for selection or you can always DIY own favorite sauce. Aside they also have a-la carte menu with choices ranging from tofu to the ever popular Salmon Sashimi.

Specially made dipping sauce

DIY own favorite sauce

I love this place because they have a salad bar there and I can't live without vegetables. Everything well balance here. The vegetables are very fresh and they have various kinda fish balls and meat balls. Crunchy and chewy plus the sweetness of the soup mouth watering. This restaurant is PORK FREE and it's HALAL.

The Salad Bar

Fresh Meat Balls, Fish Cakes, Fish Balls

The best thing is FREE flow meats, till you get bloated. There's few selection of meats such Chicken, Lamb and Beef available for your choice. You can choose all the meats together at one time. One thing I like here the fresh meats and thinnest slice, deep until the meats is properly cook and it's ready to eat.

FREE FLOW of freshly sliced meats

I personally love the Shabu-shabu Soup and Sukiyaki Soup, good combination with the meats. Shabu-shabu soup offer low calories and light on the palate, wafer thin slices of meat dipped into simmering konbu broth and cooked for a few seconds is popular in shabu-shabu. The Sukiyaki Soup cooked in a sweetened soy-sauce broth, sukiyaki is a favorite of both the young and old people.

If you love to challenge your taste buds try out their Kimuchi Soup, a  mildly spicy soup made with authentic Kimchi base, spicy Miso and various vegetable base. Enjoy it with spicy Miso sauce, hot pepper or garlic.Caution: It's hot and spicy. If also like Miso soup, their soup it's made from fermented soybeans, full of antioxidants like vitamin E, as well as protective fatty acids. A few simple steps for to enjoy delicious Sukiyaki. Shabu-shabu soup and Sukiyaki soup

Fresh vegetables

Afraid of not enough full? Fred not, FREE FLOW of Ice-cream too. A few flavors such Matcha [Green Tea], Chocolate & Vanilla flavors for your selection. I love to go with mix chocolate and green tea, soft and moist, melting inside your mouth. You can eat with a cone or a even eat with a cup. Not just an ice-cream but it came with toppings. Chocolate chips, corn flakes, etc for toppings. I love Green Tea till max!!

Free flow Ice-creams

Although it's a bit expensive to dine at Suki-Ya, I think it worth the price as the place is more hygienic, fresh, and in a systematic system. Friendly services by management adapted by Japanese culture complete with air condition system, cold enough and you wont be sweating like mad while you are enjoying your meal, unlike those other restaurant that serve buffet steamboat. Recommended place to be, cheers!!

Strawberry Tart Cake @ RT Pastry House

I'm shocked to receive birthday surprised right immediately after I reached home from work. Tired and exhausted, never thought of celebrating it, suddenly siblings came out with a birthday cake from RT Pastry House. This is the hour for me to spend some time with siblings, cutting cake ceremony that bring everyone closer to each other. They got me small Strawberry Tart cake weighted about 500grams on the 25th June 2012 =)

The Strawberry Tart was actually a Japanese cheese cake surrounded with cereal crust and topped with strawberries and cream. First time ever try this cake, oh yeah cheese cake must be cheesy. I'm afraid that the strawberries would be very sour, but it's was not at all. Cereal crust was very crispy, cheese was moist and soft until it instantly dissolved when I put into my mouth. The best recommendation store into fridge, let it cold a while take it out enjoy it, just like eating ice-ream. Thanks to my family for the lovely cake. I'm touched, Love you all and wishing myself "Happy Birthday". Hope to have a better ahead for next year.. xD

Brother Yat Restaurant @ USJ Subang Jaya

I'm craving for this restaurant quite some time ago. It's very near to my residential area, always came across but no chance to try it out, co-incidence the F4 Fish Head Restaurant were full house on Mother's Day 2012, so I decided to eat at Brother Yat Restaurant.

Factories area

After I read quite number of reviews from food bloggers, their signature dish was "Sauna Prawns" Firstly I find it hard to find this place, but through out research and guided by GPS, Brother Yat located somewhere among the factories, light industrial factories in USJ, Subang Jaya

A pot of hot tea

Heard of the stories of cooking Sauna Prawns, now is my chance to watch LIVE show, how they actually sauna it. It's actually a very simple method, require a hot pot filled with sauna stones and a cup of Carlsberg beer. Live tiger prawns are then poured on top of the preheated pot, follow by a cup of Carlsberg beer into the bottom segment of the pot, and then cover the lid, preventing the evaporated beer from escaping. Tiger prawns cook with steam in quick timing, actually to avoid overcook it.

Tiger prawns ready to eat

Fresh juicy prawns filled with Carl bergs

After the steam was over and tiger prawns turn into orange color, means it's ready to eat. I couldn't believe with my eyes tiger prawns were fresh after I tear it out. It' was juicy with the smell of alcohol when I first tasted on the prawn. Nearly forget that there's a special homemade sauce blended ginger and garlic with some vinegar for you to eat with it together. Tiger prawns weighted about 500 grams - RM45.00

Homemade sauce blended ginger and garlic

Next dishes was the Mantis prawns deep fried with salted eggs it's good to eat. In my own individual opinions, I still prefer the  F4 Fish Head Restaurant, even more crunchy and taste better.

Mantis prawns deep fried with salted eggs

My youngest brother love eating fried pork skin, marinated with some secret ingredients. Pork Skin were crispy indeed. The sauce was nice, with a bit of sourish and black soy taste. Can even just eat like snacks or treat as appetizers before the main course arrive.

Lastly, was the green leaves vegetables, sweet kang kung leaves fried with sambal belacan, tasted alright. Everything well balance here, the food in this place in general tasted good, quick services and you do not need wait for long hours just to fill up your stomach.

Enjoy dining here, I have tried different styles in cooking prawns such as deep-fried, grilled, boiled, salad, steamed, fried, etc but just not like this in a unique way of cooking sauna prawns. Recommended to try the "Sauna Prawns"

Hokkaido Ice-Cream @ Paradigm Mall

Never come across my mind that I would actually try this is out. Was invited by Alicia for desserts after dinner. Got to know she's desserts lover, like to try out  many desserts around Klang Valley area. I been wondering what is so special about this Japanese Ice-cream. As usual, I used to by pass this store while on the way to Sushi ZanMai for food.

Hokkaido Ice Cream Paradigm Mall

Tempting Menu booklet

You know, now days ice-cream it's so expensive to eat. Not normal ordinary ice-cream but a good quality of ice-creams deserve more than the price. Hokkaido Ice Cream inviting us to taste the wonderfully milky, creamy ice cream and sumptuous desserts.

Macha, Japanese Green Tea & White Chocolate Ice Cream

We couldn't resist, even though we just had dinner! A lot flavors and varieties range to choose from, and we reserve a small little space in our tummy for a small scoop of ice cream. The scoops of ice cream comes in two sizes: Single scoop 40ml RM4.80 and 60ml RM6.80 or Double scoops 40ml x 2 RM7.80. Alicia loves Macha, Japanese Green Tea combine well with White Chocolate ice-cream definitely thumb up. Fine art of Macha created mild green tea flavor, which is not too sweet for the overall.

 Marshmallow Vanilla Caramel

I opted for Marshmallow Vanilla Caramel RM9.80. It's Vanilla & Salted Caramel  Ice-cream topped with  Butterscotch Sauce, Almond, Pecan & Marshmallow. From the menu it's tempting, I tasted each flavors, and  I love Salted Caramel tasted good with roasted marshmallow. Every scoop melting in your mouth, hard to describe the feelings, and enjoy it till max. Worth for the money you're spending, lovely Japanese ice-cream brighten your days.

Goreng Kuey Teow Tong Shin @ Puchong

Been quite long time after my first visiting during the first opening on 6 October 2010, Goreng Kuey Teow Tong Shin (一品香 炒粿条) formerly known as Tengkat Tong Shin of Bukit Bintang now had been relocated in BANDAR PUTERI, Puchong, Selangor.

I was here for dinner with Singapore ex-colleague, Marc. He's giving 100% support to this owner of the shop, Ricky Ooi. We both been very close with Ricky, because we used to work together in a same company previously. I admired Ricky's hard work and his passion setting up own shop, came true at last.

Front Shop

From the designing till the opening ceremony, Ricky puts a lot efforts into it.  The shop was spacious, famous with newspapers decor and it's painted in red color. As I walked in I saw large prints on the wall full with the reviews that's actually prompted me in mind that all the food here was good.

Ricky generously, greeted both us with a welcome. He's is humble in what ever way and we asked us what do we want for the night. I told him "Can you recommend us your signature dish?" Automatic Ricky share with us what is good in his shop.

Fat fresh Popiah

Fresh shredded Seng kuang and eggs wrapped with fine tiny dough

After taking down orders, he served us with drinks and some light refreshments as appetizers for us while waiting for the rest to arrive.  The very famous Popiahs with decent ingredients such as fresh shredded Seng kuang and eggs wrapped with fine tiny dough. Not forgotten, with sweet and chilies sauce covering the layer of Popiah. The measurement of cutting just nice, to put a piece into my mouth. Juicy, filling and crunchy while chewing it.

Char Kuey Teow fried by Ricky

Char Kuey Teow, with fried Lap Cheong, cockles, & medium size of prawns

Next was the very famous Char Kuey Teow fried by Ricky himself. Could not wait to taste it with his own hand. Here comes the fragrant Wok Hei Char Kuey Teow after waited for 20min, a few meters away from the kitchen till my table. Hot and warm with a plate of Char Keuy Teow, generous with fried Lap Cheong, cockles, and medium size of prawns inside. It tasted heavenly delicious. In the middle of eating, I accidentally bite some crunchy stuffs which I've have no idea about it. I asked Ricky, and he said it's FRIED PORK LARD [Chu Yau Cha] that was the credits for overall presentation and I prefer to go with fried Pork Lard while eating it. One word it's absolutely yummy yummy.

Fried Rice with Lap Cheong

Next we were served by Ricky, the Fried Rice. This Fried rice is a very special with Lap Cheong superb if you ask me and also together with good Wok Hei. Rather classic, he fried is traditional style, with thick black soy sauce giving a nice aroma flavor and mixed with Pork Lard as well. Warm and hot, absolutely tasty, just nice not too salty.

Lam Mee with big and chewy pork balls

Marc was craving for noodles, Ricky recommended Lam Mee to him. This Lam Mee, generous with ingredients such as eggs, medium size prawns and my favorite was the big and chewy pork balls with thick black broth sauce that makes the Lam Mee well balance and it's a good eat.

Hokkien Prawn Mee, mixed with spicy blended chilies

Not forgetting the Hokkien Prawn Mee, with decent soup and ingredients, mixed with spicy blended chilies [secret recipe] historical from generations till now. According to Ricky, blended chilies need a lot hard work,  not just ordinary chilies but to cook a good spicy chilies takes about FOUR hours, need to stir it non stop till it form thick spicy chili sauce. Beware of the spicy chilies hot till your tongue, lolz.

The Menu

Worth while to dine here, with reasonable price that everyone can afford to eat. Varieties range of prices available for your selection. Quick services over here. Thanks to Ricky, for the time with us. Enjoyed the food over here. Cheers xD

Starbucks @ Setia Walk Pusat Bandar Puchong

Another new Starbucks outlets opening at Setia Walk in Puchong last month. In the conjunction of new opening, Starbucks giving out FREE brewed coffee of the day from 1200hrs-1400hrs. I'm excited to get FREE coffee, decided to drop by this outlet right after lunch. First time ever hear of this place, I worry I'm unable to search for this place, because I have no idea where this place located.

Main Entrance

Starbucks from outside view

Before heading to Starbucks in Setia Walk Puchong, I did a research on the location, first I was confuse Setia Walk with Setia City Mall. I thought both place at the same, but actually it's  not. Setia Walk located at the heart of Pusat Bandar Puchong and I'm sure Puchong people will know this place well.

Coffee of the day

We both enjoying coffee~

Love Starbucks~

Finally I got it right, and here am I in front of Starbucks. The very last 15min I managed to catch up with the long queue just for a cup of FREE coffee. Silly right? Who cares, FREE coffee no harm to try it out. At least I'm putting effort on it. Tagging along my little sister to enjoy FREE coffee with me. I love the aroma of the black coffee. The aroma of roasted coffee fragrant, can smell a few meters away. Love it the way, after food a cup of coffee definitely keep on your sleepiness away. Services I would say it's ok, friendly Barista are ready to serve you anytime.

Water fountain

Setia Walk way

After coffee, I take a tour around this places. I admired the design here, comes with water element. The whole area surrounded by human made lake. Setia Walk in Puchong is SP Setia’s first showcase project to mark the company’s entry into the commercial retail sector. It is positioned as a revolutionary and refreshing one-stop boutique lifestyle and retail centre to appeal to trend-conscious clientele.

Behind the lake

Beautiful environment

Behind beautiful scene

This is a mixed development consisting of retail blocks, offices, an entertainment complex, and serviced apartments. In essence, this commercial precinct is a hybrid between a shopping mall and shop offices. At the time of launch, this idea was a novelty in the local market. Setia Walk is spread across 20.8 acres of land in Pusat Bandar Puchong, and consists of several phases. Phase 1 is 85 blocks of 4, 6, and 7-storey shop offices. Altogether, there will be 170 retail units and 336 office units. The units on the ground and 1st floors will operate as retail outlets, while offices will occupy the upper floors. These shop office blocks are carefully designed to either face the LDP or the internal waterways to provide prime frontage and high visibility for businesses. Not bad this area, do drop by here for food or a yum cha session. It's a good place to hang out with friends and family. Cheers~ xD

MLTR LIVE @ Setia City Mall

Been so excited, to watch concert again. It's been almost long long time after yesterday I got a chance to watch Micheal Learn To Rock Live from Setia City Mall. I been very grateful to thank Amelia Ling for the FREE MLTR tickets. Starting my journey travelling down all the way to Setia City Mall takes about 40 min drive through NKVE.

Amelia Ling gave out FREE TICKETS

Been to Setia City Mall for the second time, today was huge and crowded with lot's of people probably the main reason for the MLTR concert. Never ever before been so crowded on the car park till P7 on top of the roof, full car park. Waited almost 30min just to get a car park, luckily I departed my journey two hours early before the concert starts.

After stuck in car park for 30min, finally got parking. Next rush to the nearest fast food stall to get some food before the concerts starts, every shop long with queue full with people. My first pick was the fast food lane, like McD, KFC, Subway, all full don't even have chance to buy food. At last go for Carl's Junior burgers to ease stomach.

Couple give me FREE SEATING TICKETS

While eating, saw audiences queuing up for entrance at 7pm, I started to get excited, at the same time butterflies on the stomach, can't wait to see MLTR. Rushing to finish up my meal, worry no space for me to enter later. At last, my turn to queue up. Few entrance out there divided into FREE STANDING, FREE SEATING and VIP. Before that check on my tickets, started to DISLIKE it because I saw the ticket written FREE STANDING. Image you have stand few hours just watch concerts legs sure tired. I can't complaint any further because FREE TICKETS, what you can aspect right?

No choice but to accept it. Along the way, saw one couple in front of me giving out extra tickets to other audiences people. I busybody go peep in front I saw the ticket it's orange color, wondering what is the different, then I look closer it's FREE SEATING tickets. I try my best to grab it unfortunately no more extra. Quite disappointing, but to carry on. At least I get a chance to hear I'm satisfy with it. After 20min, in front the couple told me I have extra tickets for your both, because children are FREE entrance. Serious what is he talking about? I re-confirm again at last I started to smile in my heart, at the same I'm so THANKFUL to both of them and my tickets are upgraded to FREE SEATING. No need stand anymore ... Hehehehe.

Tickets upgraded to FREE SEATING

I'm so curious wondering why they have so many FREE passes, I asked and the couple replied "I'm Setia City Park residents and also one of the SP Setia staffs here, entitled complimentary tickets for this concerts" Wow, so nice the benefits of staying in SP Setia. As the queue keep on moving, the concert field very wide, stage surrounded with lake and well decorated. I took a few photos here too. Estimated 15,000 people here attending this concerts.
