Cham Bagel Bakery @ SS15 Subang Jaya

Introduced by a friend to try it out this out over the weekend. First time heard of the word "Bagel". Nestled in SS15 Subang Jaya, city within a neighbourhood. On a typical weekdays, the area is the busiest streets with students, there is a small food stall served "Western’ breakfast, caught my attention into it. Cham Bagel Bakery located beside Pizza Hut, behind shop lots facing Asia Cafe same row with Starbucks / Cha Time.

They're selling bagels, freshly baked New York-style bagels suitable for breakfast or even snacks during tea time. Bagels can be eaten anytime through the day. Bagel is a bread product, traditionally shaped by hand into the form of a ring from yeast-ed wheat dough, roughly hand-sized, which is first boiled for a short time in water and then baked. A dense, chewy, doughy interior with a browned and sometimes crisp exterior. Bagels are often topped with seeds baked on the outer crust, with the traditional ones being poppy or sesame seeds. Some also may have salt sprinkled on their surface, and there are also a number of different dough types such as whole-grain or rye. [quoted from Wikipedia]

Kaiser rolls in the form of plain, poppy, sesame, cheese, wholewheat and
oat meal for who prefer softer and lighter bread.

Signature Poppy seed with Cream Cheese

Recommended by shop owner, that we should try on the original Poppy Seed Bagel with cream Cheese. It cost with cream cheese [RM4.90] while the empty bagel cost [RM1.80] each. Before eating, heated up in oven for 10 min till the crust are golden brown and crunchy. Next cut into half and fill up with Cream Cheese and become sandwiches bread.

Thick Cream cheese filled on top Bagel

I had Garlic Bagel with Cream Cheese [RM4.90], sense golden brown garlic smell from oven. Combines with Cream cheese, a bit salty and it's nice to eat. Crunchy out side, soft and moist inside. One bagel can slightly store me half full, provided if I take two, that will make me bloated.
